AN ISRAELI CONVERSATION: Politics, News, and Culture of the People

Four Israelis Talking is the brainchild of Isaac Zaharoni, a dual US-Israeli citizen born in Israel in 1940, who immigrated to the US in 1962.  Watching the nightly news, Isaac has always been fascinated by the outsized attention received by Israel and the Jewish diaspora, while noting the relative absence of opinions from Jews who are unaffiliated with government or the mainstream media.

Isaac decided to gather his Israeli friends so he could offer something that is rarely seen in mainstream media: an unfiltered conversation among Israeli’s, regardless of their political viewpoint, about the issues that they confront on a daily basis.  The world often hears about what the state of Israel has done; rarely does it hear what Israelis who live or lived there think.  Do they always follow the party line?  Is the Jewish viewpoint always one that is pro-Israel?  Listen in and find out.  You might be surprised.

Hey, Isaac wants to hear from you, too! If you’re an Israeli, you’re a friend and Isaac wants you to sit in on one of our conversations!

LEVY

A native of Israel, Oren moved to the United States in 2000, intent on taking his experience as an IT specialist with the Israeli Army into the private sector.  Oren has been a Chief Technology Officer for multiple nationwide companies, a husband and father to two sons and both a vocal advocate and resolute opponent of policies emanating out of Jerusalem.

GALIT
LINDER

Galit was born in Ashkelon, Israel before she and her family moved to the US in 1982.  Galit learned English, learned Spanish, graduated from college, raised a family and started a successful catering business, all the while maintaining strong ties to her home country.

DAN
INDANTE

Dan Indante is a dual US-Israeli citizen with 90% of his family living in Israel. He has traveled back and forth between the countries more than 30 times in his life and, aside from the fact that he doesn’t speak Hebrew, acts, lives and thinks too much like an Israeli not to consider himself one.
